Life is a journey and as part of that we encounter countless challenges. Going through difficult times and learning to cope with them are opportunities to become wiser and more mindful. I invite you into a safe place where you will feel understood, validated, and empowered to deal with your life challenges. Therapy can help you make sense of your circumstances, cultivate insight and awareness so that you can change and grow. I would be privileged and honored to be part of your life journey and together explore who you are, what qualities you possess, and where you can go with it.

My Approach

My first goal as a therapist is to provide you with a safe space; a space where you can feel comfortable and cared for. At your first appointment we will get a sense of each other and see if we are a good fit.  Once that is decided, we will begin our process where together we gain insight into your life and then build better coping skills to regain mental, emotional and physical well-being.

My style is open, compassionate, and collaborative, tailoring approaches including mindfulness, attachment-based and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to your unique needs. When helping my clients navigate through challenges & complexities, I incorporate not only my clinical experiences but also my own life experiences to help them find their own way and bring meaning back to their lives.

 My Focus

Many of my clients come to see me for anxiety, depression, relationship issues, family conflicts, life transitions including career changes, relocation, divorce, mid-life crises, grief and loss.

I also specialize in culturally specific therapy to assist immigrant families especially Asian Americans. As an immigrant myself I am empathetic to emotional and mental health issues due to the need for cultural adjustment, awareness of the cultural gap between immigrant parents and their US-born children, and any unique family dynamic to help them acculturate to living and thriving in the United States.
